A beautiful shade of golden brown, with copper highlights. The bouquet is initially intense, elegant, with very ripe stone fruit aromas, traces of vanilla and pale oak. Aeration releases tropical undertones of cocoa butter and a hint of cinnamon, against a backdrop of mellowed oak and liquorice. Lively, fresh and strong at entry, it is both full and elegant on the palate. The bouquet then develops into buttery notes and rancio, somewhat reminiscent of an old sherry.
